Description
This is a Pre War TB1 5 string conversion Banjo. The banjo has a Huber HR30 tone ring and a Don Bryant neck. This is a serious business Pre War conversion Banjo that is ready to rock!
The banjo pot has all original parts. The hardware is nickel and all original including a Pre War Gibson one piece flange. The resonator is maple with white binding and this has the original finish. The neck is a Bryant neck which is maple with a rosewood fretboard. The inlay is a Seagull pattern which looks really good. This banjo is powerful and reaks of Pre War tone. This also includes a hardshell case.
Condition
This is a pre war so it has age and tarnish but this is super clean for a pre war and is structurally very strong. I want to mention first the flange is in great shape. There is basically zero pull on the flange. That is a very nice point.
The hardware may have a hint of age and tarnish but the metal looks fantastic. The resonator does have some scratching and age but I would say it is still normal wear for a banjo this age. The frets are in good shape and this has spikes at frets 7 and 9. This is in great shape with no issues and the case is also clean.
Set Up
This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge and strings are both Huber. This banjo has been set up for power and to produce some bang and pop. The strings are also set up very well and this banjo is a stellar player as well.
