Description
This is an all original and definitely clean 1950’s Gibson TB250 that is all original. The banjo has been converted to an RB250 with a high quality 5 string Bowtie 250 Neck. This banjo is exceptional and also includes a strong quality hardshell case.
This has a Mahogany Neck and resonator with a rosewood fretboard with a bowtie inlay. The hardware is nickel and all original including a one piece flange and a solid hole arch top tone ring. This banjo is in fantastic condition and produces some serious vintage bang. This is full of mojo and tone and it is nice that it is a 1950’s model as well. If you want to get some serious Mastertone sound this banjo will do it for a very reasonable price.
Condition
This is in excellent condition. The hardware is in great shape with little tarnish at all. The finish on the wood is super clean all the way around the resonator and up the neck. The fretboard and frets are also super clean all the way down. This banjo is stunning.
This has spikes at frets 7and 9 and 10. The case is covered with stickers but is in fantastic shape otherwise.
Set Up
This is set up with a new Remo frosted head set to 90. The bridge is a Snuffy Smith Bridge and this has new Huber strings. The banjo is a stellar player and is set up for easy playing and strong volume and tone production.
This is an extraordinary RB250 that is set up and ready to peel paint off the walls. It also has some nice historic value. Buy it now!!!
