Description
Geoff Stelling is regarded as one of the finest builders of banjos in the history of banjo. This banjo is his Masterpiece and includes Fully Engraved Gold Hardware, Top Quality Wood and Beautiful Inlay work. This is number 90 of 100 and is all original except Schaller D Tuners. This also includes the original case.
This has a curly maple neck and resonator and each feature very high end maple. The fretboard is ebony with a gorgeous inlay going down the board. This has Fully Engraved Gold Hardware and I do mean Fully Engraved. Every piece of the hardware is fully worked with gorgeous engraving. This is stunning in every way.
The flange is a Stelling One Piece Ribbon Flange and this has the standard Stelling No Hole Tone Ring. This banjo not only is stunning it is loud and this is one of the best sounding banjos you can get. This is out of this world with sweet and soft tone that pops and bangs while it hits. This also is set up and plays like a dream.
This includes the original Stelling Hardshell Case as well.
Condition and Set Up
This banjo is super clean. We cleaned all of the gold and it shines. The gold is also in extraordinary condition. The wood and finish shines as well due to a good waxing. The fretboard is super clean and the frets are in really good shape as well. This has spikes in frets 7, 8 and 9.
The banjo has a new Remo Frosted Head, the original Stelling Bridge and new Huber strings. This banjo is clean and set up and is a serious business piece.
We are going all the way to track down Stelling Banjos and this is one of the hardest to find.
