Description
This is a gorgeous gold plated arch top banjo that was MADE IN JAPAN in the early 1980’s (maybe late 70’s). This is absolutely a deluxe banjo that is also very clean. If you want a stunning work of art that is also a powerful arch top banjo this is it.
The banjo has a thick maple shell with a curly maple neck and resonator. There is white and RB800s style binding on each side of the neck and resonator. The hardware is gold and all original and includes an arch top tone ring and a 2 piece flange. This banjo also has an engraved armrest and a clamshell tailpiece. This is gorgeous.
The banjo has a rosewood fretboard with a Wreath inlay pattern. This is truly incredible and has a clean original hardshell case as well.
Condition and Set Up
This banjo is in extraordinary condition all the way around. The finish looks incredible and the gold is glowing. The frets and fretboard are super clean and this has a 5th string capo that is also in great shape. This is absolutely gorgeous and has a clean original case.
The head is an Elite Renaissance head which I think is original. The bridge is a compensated bridge and this has new strings. This is a fantastic player with a beautiful tone and will satisfy you. This is a fantastic deal considering all the value this banjo delivers.
